Research Project Discussion

Q Research Project Discussion This discussion is an opportunity to connect with classmates about the research project we'll be working on this semester. Throughout the semester, you will be working on a team of 4 or 5 members on several assignments that are part of a research project. We will not collect data for this project, but work on designing a research study that we could conduct in real life. The goal of working in teams is for y'all to help each other learn and apply the course material on a common project. That way, you won't be on your own but will have several minds on a same task! For the research project, y'all will first have to choose a research topic to work on. It can be anything related to the discipline of Communication, but it will have to be specific. For example "social media" is an area in Communication, not a topic. Research topics can be related to any Communication area, for example: social media, health communication, risk and crisis communication, business communication, family communication, etc. In this discussion: 1) Please write a post with some general ideas of what topic you would like to work on. Here, your topic doesn't have to be specific. This is a brainstorming session! If you do not have any idea, that's perfectly fine. In this case, indicate in your post that you are looking for teammates and that you don't have an idea of topic. 2) Engage with classmates to try to find teammates to work with throughout the semester. Teams with the names of all members and research topics will be due in an assignment on January 30. After this deadline, we will not change teams or research topics.
